All this content is sent you at no charge. We do not put a price tag on this material. At The Ordinary Christian we want to make sure everyone who wants or needs this material can get it regardless if they can afford it or not. Our goal and aim is to raise up, train up and unleash and ever increasing labor force into the spiritual harvest fields.
The work of The Ordinary Christian is supported by people who believe in our mission and donate to the work. While we don’t charge people, who signup for this email, for the content they receive we do ask people to prayerfully consider making a monthly donation to the work and then give whatever they sense God wants them to donate. If God says to donate nothing - that is perfectly find. We do this for two reasons:
Because like I already stated we want everyone to get this content who want it regardless if they can afford it or not. When we put a price tag on this material we immediately eliminate some people from getting it because they can’t afford it. By giving it away everyone can receive it and no one is left out. The material you will receive is not a purchase you’ve made but it is a gift that we are giving to you.
But the Bible is clear when it says that a workman is worthy of his hire. The reality is that I have to make a living like everyone else to pay my bills so the need to receive some kind of compensation is a reality. However, by allowing people to donate to the work we are putting our faith in God to meet our needs according to what He feels is best. So, when you donate you are not making a purchase but you are giving a contribution to the work we are doing.
IT SOUNDS LIKE A WIN/WIN TO ME!
In your emails you be provided a link where you can make a donation.
However, this is one disclaimer I need to make right here. The work of The Ordinary Christian is not a 501c3 non-profit religious organization. It is just a fictitious business name that I use to promote the work. Therefore, I cannot offer you an end of the year contribution statement that you can use on your end of the year tax return. My wife and I, Jay and Linda Moore, is The Ordinary Christian. The donations are to us and we will claim it as income and pay all our required income taxes. The reason for doing this is to keep our work as separated from the government and it’s control as much as possible.
