Why Ordinary Christians Are Important To Christ!
Did you know that ordinary christians are important to Christ and that He loves to use those are not considered to be much by this world?
IT’S TRUE!
Here’s a little saying I coined to help remind us of the important part we play with the work of Christ in our part of this dark world. It goes like this":
JUST BECAUSE I’M ORDINARY DOESN’T MEAN I’M SECONDARY! ORDINARY CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PRIMARY CHOICE FOR ACCOMPLISHING HIS EXTRAORDINARY MISSION!
The Bible explains why this is so true in 1 Corinthians 126-29,
“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him”
Why are we so important? Because when God accomplishes great things through us He will be the one to get all the credit and the credit not be given over to some man because of their great abilities.
God wants to show that He can do anything, through anybody, including us who are just ordinary people. AND PRAISE GOD!
This truth should remove all concerns and excuses for us not joining in with the work of Christ! When we truly believe this important truth it will free us to be God’s instrument for Him to work through and accomplish his great work.
There’s no more hiding in the shadows or getting lost in the masses. By virtue of being an ordinary christian you are thrusted to the front of the line for a vessel that God will use! And use, He will. May it all be done for the Glory God!
Now go ahead and repeat that little saying over and over again every morning so as to get your head and heart prepared for an amazing day where Christ lives out His live in and through you.
